Palm Beach County Countywide Transportation Masterplan Kicks Off: Building a Connected Future

Palm Beach County has officially kicked off its Countywide Transportation Master Plan (CTMP) at the Vista Center in West Palm Beach. The meeting brought together an impressive turnout of residents, municipal officials, transportation professionals, and community stakeholders, all united in their commitment to shaping the future of mobility across the county.

What is a Countrywide Transportation Master Plan?

A Countrywide Transportation Master Plan (CTMP) will establish a countywide vision for a transportation plan system that safely connects people to places throughout Palm Beach County. This approach considers all modes of travel including walking, cycling, public transit, and driving to ensure every resident can navigate the county safely and efficiently.

The plan will serve as a foundation that Palm Beach County and local municipalities can use to adopt their own specific improvements while coordinating on major transportation corridors that cross municipal boundaries.

Who’s Involved?

The Palm Beach Country Board of County Commissioners approved a contract with WSP USA Inc. on June 18, 2025 to develop the CTMP. WSP is one of the top professional services firm with extensive national and international experience in transportation planning and engineering.

The consultant team will work closely with County staff and a core technical group of stakeholders throughout the development process, ensuring the plan reflects both technical expertise and local knowledge from across the county.
